Submit a website

To members of the public submitting websites.

Please note that the Culture Portal will close from 1 July 2010.

The final deadline for submissions to the Culture Portal websites database is 31 December 2009.

The Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA) will be exploring options to transfer the websites database and ‘Bluey’ search capacity to other relevant websites.

The public will be advised on any updates to transfer decisions.

Process for submitting a website to the Culture Portal

• To submit your website please email the Editor, editor@culture.gov.au, with the website address (URL).

• The website will then be assessed.

• Full details may be requested if required.

• Final assessment is done by the editorial team.

• The website will be listed on the Portal if it satisfies the website criteria, Item 2 from our website collection policy.

• Reasons for the acceptance or rejection of a website will be provided to the person who submitted the website. These reasons can be clarified on request.

• Please allow two months for the submission process.

Updating website details

If your website has been added to the Culture Portal, you can request updates to the website details by emailing editor@culture.gov.au.
